Catholic nuns took vows of poverty, chastity and obedience; the three evangelical counsels of perfection in Christianity. The congregation of the Bannabikira Sisters (Daughters of Mary) Bwanda received 12 new sisters.

12 made their perpetual vows, while a good number of them celebrated 25 years, 50 years, 60 years and one celebrated 80 years in the Covent
.

The colorful ceremony was presided over by the Bishop of Masaka, Serverus Jjumba assisted by the Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese, Paul Ssemogerere, Monsignor Ssengooba Dominic, Vicar General of Masaka Diocese and several priests from different parishes of the diocese.
