Masaka Catholic Diocese is large and diverse, with a wide variety of ministries. Welcome to the official website of Masaka Catholic Diocese in Uganda. Masaka Catholic Diocese is composed of 58 Parishes and 7 Spiritual Centers from the 10 districts in the Greater Masaka Region of the Catholic faith in Uganda, constituted with the approval of the Holy See, through which the religious fathers, sisters, and brothers express their collegiate responsibility through collective action, to assure the progress of the Church and coordination of its social and pastoral ministry. It is headed by a Bishop who is elected by the Pope. He is assisted by an Executive Board, also chosen by the Bishop.

The Diocese of Masaka is located in the Southern part of Uganda, South of the Equator. It covers an area of 21,229 Sq. Km. It covers the civic Districts of Bukomansimbi, Kalangala, Kalungu, Kyotera, Lwengo, Lyantonde, Masaka, Rakai and Ssembabule.

5th Episcopal Ordination Celebration of Mass

The Bishop of Masaka Diocese, Rt. Rev. Serverus Jjumba assisted by the Bishop of Kasana Luwero Diocese, Rt. Rev. Lawrence mass celebrated mass to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the Ordinary for Masaka Diocese. The function took place on Saturday 6th July 2024 in Our Lady of Sorrows Cathedral, Kitovu.

5th Episcopal Ordination Luncheon at Sports Arena Kitovu

The Bishop of Masaka Diocese, Rt. Rev. Serverus Jjumba later held a luncheon for his guests celebrated  commemorating the 5th Anniversary of the Ordination for at a function that took place on Saturday 6th July 2024 in Sports Arena, Kitovu.
