Masaka Diocese is composed of 57 Parishes and 8 Eucharistic Centers from the 10 districts of the Greater Masaka Region bound in the Catholic faith in Uganda, constituted with the approval of the Holy See, through which the religious fathers, sisters, and brothers express their collegiate responsibility through collective action, to assure the progress of the Church and coordination of its social and pastoral ministry. It is headed by a Bishop who is elected by the Pope. He is assisted by an Executive Board, also chosen by the Bishop.

Masaka Catholic Diocese is large and diverse, with a wide variety of ministries. These pages reflect the many ways in which we strive to serve God through service to His people. As you visit the various pages on this web site, the mission of the Diocese will become clear. The Bishop’s Motto states:

“Nos Autem Praedicamus Christum Crucifixum” – a Latin phrase meaning “But we proclaim Christ Crucified.”.
