Bishop Serverus Jjumba commissions Centenary Radio

The Bishop of Masaka Diocese Rt. Rev Severus Jjumba has emphasized that the Catholic Church ought to strengthen communication to fulfill the mission of evangelization.

He says every staff in the Catholic Church communication department must acquaint him or herself with the principles of communication and social teaching of the Catholic Church that among others calls for building an inter-gro person.

He said this while commissioning the home of the diocesan, Centenary Radio that is now housed at the former Centenary Bank building in Masaka City adding that the Church founded by Jesus has to communicate truth, justice and peace which are fundamental parameters to growth and development of any society.

Bishop Jjumba was accompanied by the Head of Treasury for Masaka diocese Fr. Peter Paul Ssemakula and the diocesan Head of Communication Fr Ronald Mayanja, among others.

Centenary Radio started operations in 2018 as a fully fledged radio of the Catholic Diocese of Masaka.
